1. Introduction

Welcome to MengedUser (the “App”), operated by Menged Solutions PLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of the MengedUser App, including any ticketing, routing, or fare collection services provided within. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Eligibility and User Accounts

  • Account Creation: To use certain features, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
  • Account Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or security breach.
  • Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, or have the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

3. Services Provided

The MengedUser App provides intelligent transportation system (ITS) services, which may include:

  • Purchasing and storing digital tickets for bus routes and public transportation.
  • Real-time transit information and route planning.
  • Electronic fare collection and payment processing.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without prior notice.

4. Payments and Fare Collection

  • Digital Wallets and Payments: You may link approved payment methods (e.g., local telebirr, bank accounts, or credit/debit cards) to fund your MengedUser account or purchase tickets.
  • Pricing and Fees: All fares and transaction fees are clearly displayed in the App prior to purchase. Fares are subject to change based on transportation providers and regulatory updates.
  • Refunds: Ticket purchases and fare top-ups are generally non-refundable unless a service disruption is directly caused by a technical failure on our platform.

5. User Conduct

When using the MengedUser App, you agree not to:

  • Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or local ordinances.
  • Use the App for fraudulent purposes, including fare evasion, duplicating digital tickets, or manipulating payment systems.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our servers, networks, or underlying code.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the App or the servers hosting it.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, source code, and software related to the App, including the “MengedUser” and “Menged Solutions” names and logos, are the exclusive property of Menged Solutions PLC. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App strictly for your personal, non-commercial use.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Menged Solutions PLC shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the App.
  • We are not responsible for delays, cancellations, or service failures caused by the actual transportation providers, traffic conditions, or force majeure events.
  • We do not guarantee that the App will be completely error-free, uninterrupted, or perfectly secure.

8. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ethiopia. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal obligations. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new terms in the App and updating the “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the App after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
